About Wade

Welcome…

The reason I created this site was for folks like yourself. Someone who loves and enjoys dogs and a lifestyle that encourages better health and wellness of dogs, after all, they are part of your family. I believe everyone that owns a dog should have the some basic knowledge on how take care of one. How to identify problems quickly before they get out of hand and possibly save you a trip to the vet. Also, show you different things you can do for your dog that they will love you for doing it. To do this, I am going to share my personal experiences with you and what I have discovered over the years of owning and training dogs since childhood.

So a little about me…

Wade’s Dog Website

My name is Wade. I am a grandfather, brother and a son to the most wonderful family. They are my inspiration and the reason I live my life filled with joy. My journey with dogs began when I was just a child. My parents had a poodle named Judy. I will never forget when our postman ran over Judy’s leg while delivering the mail to our box. That was my first experience with a veterinarian’s service. She came home with a leg cast and hobbled around the house for weeks. Judy did successfully recover and lived the rest of her life as a happy dog.

A few years later we had a beagle named Valentine. I loved Valentine so much, she was a good dog.  My father’s beagle had puppies and Valentine was the litter’s runt so we kept her. She had a heart shape spot colored white atop  a black background on her back hence the name “Valentine”. She grew up without any training. Just a happy go lucky dog. Eventually we took her to my grandfather’s farm. It was there that I came to realize dogs have a natural instinct. Something that is breed into their DNA. Her tracking abilities lit up like a bright light. She was able to sniff out rabbits like nothing I’d ever seen.

Since then I have always been fascinated by the abilities that dogs possess. Whether it is the their ability to understand common dog commands such as sit or shake, or the fact that they understand humans well enough that they learn how to perform a task with or without the assistance of treats or reward based training. When you have trained a dog to locate a missing person based on tracking the person’s scent and you find that individual, it’s truly an amazing sense of accomplishment and speaks volumes for the dogs ability.

So since those early childhood days I’ve spent the rest of my life surrounding myself with dogs.  I’ve had several breeds, such as Shetland sheepdogs, Beagles, Chiweenie dogs, mixed breeds, Shelter dogs, Poodles, Bouvier des Flanders, and Bloodhound’s, just to mention a few. I am not proclaiming to be an expert. Just that I have had years of experience living with dogs and I have done quite a bit of training with dogs.

Conclusion..

I am by no means an absolute expert in all things DOGS. I can say however that I have a bunch of real life experiences that will contribute to my knowledge of this subject and will simply share them with you.

I would love it if you decide I’ve said something that captures your interest, and you get involved within my site, leave a comment and let me know. Follow and share with your friends on Face Book.  I love to talk about new products for a dogs way of living and a healthier environment for you and your best friend.

Additionally if you have anything interesting that you want to share or any opinions of any of the content I have created on my site, please do speak up. I love feedback in every form.

Thank you,

Wade.
